After such a hectic year of major championships, Keely Hodgkinson now has her much sought after gold medal winning the European 800m title last night in Munich.
Keely’s jet-setting year has taken her to Eugene Oregon USA where she competed in the World Championships winning silver medal, back to England to compete in the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham winning silver, and now Munich Germany to take Gold and become European 800m Champion 2022. Her Diamond League competitions have taken her to Oslo and Stockholm, and just a year ago Keely was in Tokyo!
Her year of 2022 is well documented on www.thepowerof10.info/athletes/profile and is an inspiration to all young athletes. Starting in 2011 as an U11 Keely has always flown the flag for Leigh Harriers and we are so proud to call her “Leigh Harrier, Keely Hodgkinson”.
