Alex Leadbeater raced to a silver medal on Sunday in the EA U15 Championships held at EIS Sheffield. Alex’s super Sunday started when in heat 1 of the boys U15 200m he won comfortably in 22.78 – a season’s best -a season’s best and 0.08 off a pb.
In the Final Alex was to race against No.1 in Britain and give him a race he did – the number 1 had to run for his life and produce a personal best – as Alex was chasing him down all the way to the line! Leadbeater is ranked No.2 in the UK and No.1 in the NW.
Meanwhile over at the Pole Vault, U20 Karran Kapur-Walton placed 5th with a vault of 4.20m.
